How to apply

Thanks for your interest in being part of our Ecovolunteer Team with Fundación ProAves! Once you have evaluated the programs, necessary documents, locations and costs, you can apply to the volunteer program and natural reserve you like the most using the eApplication.

After we receive your application, we will answer any questions you have about the program in order to continue with the process.

The following list shows all required documents for foreigners:
  • Filled E-Application
  • Current resume
  • Copy of: Visa, Valid ID and passport.
  • Valid health insurance in Colombia
  • Health certificate that shows your current physical condition
  • 1 digital photo of you
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Signed ProAves disclaimer /Waiver

Kids restore the forest in Sierra Nevada

kids living close to El Dorado Bird Natural Reserve were part of a full day of reforestation within the area of the reserve. This activity was created to show the importance of restoring native habitats of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, benefiting one endemic and endangered species of this habitat, the Little-Parrot of Santa Maria (Pyrrhura viridicata).
